Gemstar-TV Guide's newest IPG product offering, i-Guide®, is the industry's most widely-deployed IPG. i-Guide alllows consumers to quickly and easily find what to watch among an expanding number of programming choices. i-Guide sports a crisp and clean user interface and fast, intuitive navigation to advanced interactive features such as On Demand, HDTV and dual-tuner DVR options. i-Guide also offers numerous features customizable by MSOs, allowing operators to tailor the guide navigation to reflect their particular product offerings.
Advertisers can also place ads through a variety of display formats incorporated into the guide’s screens. Advertisements can display additional text information and/or ad copy when clicked on via a remote control. Ads for TV programming are able to link consumers directly to a TV channel, or allow them to program a recording or a reminder.
i-Guide is currently deployed throughout top MSOs including Comcast, Charter, Time Warner, Adelphia, Mediacom, Insight and Brighthouse Communications. i-Guide provides users with fast and easy access to digital cable's most-advanced interactive services and programming content. Features include:
- Feature-rich guide with fast, easy access to Digital Cable services
- "Quick Menu" providing easy access to Parental Locks, VOD programming and DVR menus from anywhere in the guide
- A new, more flexible advertising model that includes advertising on-demand, enhancing i-Guide's promotional capability
On Demand:
- Easy access to on-demand content via a seamless and easy-to-navigate interface
- "New release" and "last chance" graphics that indicate new VOD content or when an offering will no longer be available

DVR:
- DVR Features such as record, fast-forward, rewind and pause live TV
- DVR Dual-tuner functionality in cable systems with advanced DVR boxes, allowing viewers to watch a recorded program while recording up to two other live programs at the same time, or watch live TV on one channel while recording a separate channel
Program Guide:
- Accurate, updated program listings that include up to 14 days worth of future program information on select set-top boxes
- Expanded grid space displaying three half-hours of upcoming programming and full title listings
Parental Controls:
- Streamlined access to parental controls by adding a Locks button to Quick Menu and easy-to-use Parental Controls button on the main menu
- Easily lock out chosen programs by network, MPAA and TV Ratings, including purchase and category locks.
Favorites:
- Create up to five unique Favorites Lists – so each member of the family can have his or her personal list of favorite networks
i-Guide is available on all Motorola including the new DCH Host platform supporting separable security. i-Guide will soon be available on Scientific Atlanta systems supporting the same i-Guide features.
