G-GUIDE is the stan­dard throughout Japan, and is used in more than 20 million consumer electronics devices and personal comput­ers there.

Listings Service:

  • Eight days of program listings from all terrestrial and Broadcast Satellite analog broadcasters are available on most devices
  • Ability to search by category on most devices (movies, sports, music, dramas, comedies)
  • Displays listings of on-air programs of the moment
  • Provides detailed descriptions of programs
  • Provides listings of programs scheduled for recording
  • Picture-in-Picture function on most devices displays the currently viewed program while simultaneously displaying the program listings

Search Feature:

Eight days of programming information can be sorted by category. Categories such as "movies" and G-GUIDE-D_PAD.jpg"sports" are segmented, so viewers can search by subcategory, such as "movies: romance" and "sports: soccer." (Subcategories not available on all devices.) It is also possible to search a program for your favorite on-screen personality.

One-touch Recording:
Simply highlight the program title to record, and press the Record button. Viewers can specify to record a program once, daily, or weekly.  (Some compatible devices may have limited capabilities).
